Lori Jo Bossy
Head of School
Lori Bossy has been the Head of School of Montessori Visions Academy since its onset in 1999. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education, a Nevada State Teaching license for K-8, and Montessori Primary, Lower & Upper Elementary Certification. Ms. Bossy has taught in elementary education for over 20 years, served as an adjunct staff at UNLV teaching education majors, and periodically teaches about Montessori education at private colleges in Las Vegas. Ms. Bossy has four daughters and is involved in youth sports and community service.
Nicole Bossy-Meadows
Assistant Administrator, Primary Coordinator
Ms. Bossy has been an active member of Montessori Visions Academy since 1999 and is an Administrator and Early Childhood Coordinator. She is Montessori certified in the Infant/Toddler, Primary, and Elementary levels. Ms. Bossy holds a BA in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Montessori. She enjoys connecting with nature by doing yoga and exploring outside. She has a passion for working with children and loves implementing the Montessori Philosophy in all aspects of her life, including raising her 3 children.
Lydia Hall
Primary Coordinator
Mrs. Hall joined Montessori Visions Academy in 2012 and is a certified Montessori Infant/Toddler and Early Childhood teacher. She studied in Arizona towards a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Music from the University of Arizona. She has worked with children since 1998, specializing in dance and gymnastics. She has worked with families of students with special needs and has spent time in Korea where she became fluent in the language. Mrs. Hall is an instructor for adults at Montessori Training of Southern Nevada. She is excited to raise her children in the Montessori philosophy.
Linda Khalil
Curriculum Coordinator
Linda Khalil is a Montessori Certified Primary through Upper Elementary (2 1/2 - 12 years) teacher. She has been with MVA since 2000. She is also a Certified Teacher Trainer and has spoken to various groups in the community about Montessori Education. She taught Sunday School (ages 9-12) and art at a private Christian school. Linda has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She is a Certified Reiki Practitioner and enjoys painting, reading and walking in the desert.
Lisa Knutsen
Assistant Administrator,
Adolescent Community Coordinator
Ms. Knutsen is a certified Montessori Primary, Lower and Upper Elementary teacher. She also is a certified Montessori Middle School and High School teacher. She holds a BA in Secondary Education and she is currently working on her Master of Education program with an emphasis in Montessori Education. She teaches American Sign Language as an additional language in our Upper Elementary program and continues to work on developing curriculum for the upper level classes. She also enjoys working as a teacher trainer for Montessori Training of Southern Nevada. She enjoys volunteering in her church and throughout the community. She has served on mission trips to Australia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, and Macau. She recently become a licensed foster parent in Clark County.
Nancy Absi
Office Manager
Mrs. Absi was born and raised in the Middle East. She learned about Montessori after the birth of her first child and has implemented it in her home ever since. She is certified at the primary level and is working on a degree in family and human development with a focus on early childhood education. She enjoys spending time with family and traveling the world.
Mrs. Absi comes to MVA with many years of management experience and is so excited to be part of the administrative team.
Stephanie Fajardo
Office Manager
Ms. Fajardo was born in Tijuana, Mexico but has lived in Las Vegas for over 23 years. She has an extensive administrative background including financial institutions and human resources. She has many years experience caring for children and is always happy to babysit her nieces and nephews. She enjoys spending quality time with family, reading and watching movies. She loves the goals of Montessori education and is looking forward to spreading the word about Montessori philosophy.
