10/26 Fall Festival/Cultural Celebrations: Students will travel to each continent station learning about the language, music, and art from various countries. Students will remain with their class peers and do activities from around the world throughout the morning. Unfortunately, we will not have parents helping this year and we will not be traveling to other rooms this year, but we will still be enjoying our cultural celebration as usual. We invite students to dress in cultural clothing, whether from their heritage or a country or culture that they would like to learn about, maintaining an atmosphere of respect. The intention of this event is to learn about the culture and the chosen attire. The student should be able to talk briefly to their class about their chosen outfit, its significance, and meaning within the culture. Respectful attire also refers to no visible midriffs, no exposed shoulders, and always wearing socks and shoes that cover the entire foot. If your student does not wish to dress in cultural attire, please ensure that they wear their regular uniform. Please no Halloween costumes, no weapons, and no costume masks. Students will be wearing the clothing all day, so please plan accordingly.
10/29 Nevada Day Observed/ No Classes: Enjoy the holiday!
Carpool Need: We have a family with two students that live near the Boulevard Mall (Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn) that are looking to carpool. If you are able to help please email the school. Thank you!
Student Privacy: Please respect our students' privacy by never taking photos or posting photos of children who are not your own at any school event, including birthday circles, picnics, after school specials, field trips, etc. Thank you for supporting our families and their privacy.
MVA Wellness Policy: Any student showing signs of illness is not allowed in school. Please phone the school or email if your child will be absent. In the event of illness or serious accident during school hours, you will be called to pick up the student within one hour of notification. Due to an abundance of caution, we ask that your child remain home for a minimum of 24 hours if showing signs of illness, exhibiting vomiting, diarrhea, or a fever.
October Birthdays: Attached is the form to celebrate your child's birthday at school. Please return the form to the school two weeks prior to the day you would like to celebrate. If your child has a birthday in October or November and you would like for them to participate in our Circle of the Sun Celebration please complete the form below and return it as soon as possible. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1thZeG8X2taEsi02MFcHqV7brYSm3lp_-/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=101967924937433220280&rtpof=true&sd=true

Parent to School Communication
The messaging feature in Montessori Compass and the Procare Engage App has been disabled. For a quicker response please contact the office directly for all questions, concerns, and all matters by calling our main line at 702-451-9801 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Parent Drop Off and Pick Up
Please pull as far forward as possible in the drop-off/pick-up lane. We ask that you stay in your car and wait for a teacher to come. Please do your best to have your child (or the youngest child if you have more than one) on the passenger side of the car. We will ask that any children on the left or driver's side exit the car on the right or passenger side so that no doors are opened on the driver's side of the car, in order to prevent any accidents with cars driving in the "through" lane. The teacher will then take your child to class at drop-off or bring them to you at pick up. AC drop off 7:45-8, pick up 2:45-3; Elementary drop off 8:15-8:30, pick up 3-3:15; Primary, Infant, Toddler drop off 8:30-8:45, pick up 3:15-3:30. If you bring your child or pick up your child outside of scheduled drop-off or pick-up times, please come to the front door and a teacher will meet you at the door. Also please come to the door when you are picking up children from after school specials as we do not have a staff member outside at that time of the day to help with pick up. We appreciate your support in making sure that the children are safe and that the line moves as smoothly as possible.
Procare Engage App
If you have not received your ten-digit student code from Procare, please check your spam folder and verify that the email address on file with the school is accurate. All MVA families are allowed up to two designated log-ins. Please do not share your account information with anyone that does not pick up on a regular basis, preferably three or more times per week. If you need further assistance please contact the front office.
