Summer Camp
CAMP MONTESSORI 2009
Montessori Visions Academy runs a nine-month school year that mirrors the Clark County school district schedule. However, we also offer exciting summer programs! In summer camp, students continue to pursue their learning endeavors within themed camp sessions. Our camps maintain a structured environment for learning while simultaneously offering recreational activities.
All students enrolled in Montessori Visions Academy are welcome to attend Camp Montessori. Registration for summer camp begins in early April, and moves on a rolling basis until the beginning of each camp session based on availability. The camps are run in two-week blocks, each with a new topic of study to engage our students.
The regular faculty and staff dedicate their summer months to a rich and pleasurable summer experience for all the students involved. Students will continue to learn with Montessori materials in classrooms daily and also enjoy field trips and special projects to excite the imagination and stimulate the application of knowledge!

June 8-19 |
|
Culinary Arts Camp - Students will learn about the culinary arts through food preparation, cooking, meal planning, and nutrition. Students will enjoy a visit to Anderson Dairy on June 16th and share their new skills by preparing and participating in an enjoyable meal with their parents on June 19th. |

June 22 - July 2 |
Water Exploration Camp – Students will explore water, including concepts like the water cycle, water usage and water sports. We will take a field trip to the Springs Preserve on June 19th to learn more about water conservation and we will enjoy a day of water play on 7/2. (No School on July 3rd due to Independence Day.) |

July 6-17 |
Sports Camp - Students will participate in a variety of sporting activities including physical fitness, individual and team sports, and also study famous athletes. Students will participate in a Field Day to complete their study and also enjoy a field trip to The Academy of Gymnastics for a day of fun and sports! |

July 20 - July 31 |
Yoga Camp – Students will learn about yoga and meditation as a tool for personal health and spiritual growth. They will participate in a field trip to a labyrinth and enjoy Family Yoga days. |

| August 3 – 14 |
Puppet Theater Camp – Students will explore all aspects of theater, including set design, puppet creations, and performance. A field trip will be enjoyed and the camp will conclude with a puppet show on Friday, August 14th.

Tuition
is $380.00 per camp, each two-week block, which
includes supplies and field trips. The camp schedule is
8:30am to 3:30pm. Before school care available 8-8:30am
for $30 per camp and after school care is available until
5:30pm for $60 per camp. Tuition for the entire two week
session will be due at the beginning of each camp session,
no partial enrollment or partial payments will be accepted.
A registration fee of $20 per camp or $50 for all camps
is due for all students who were not registered during the 2008/2009 school year. |
