Mrs. Khalil is Montessori Primary, Lower & Upper Elementary Certified, has been head teacher for four years, and is the Art Specialist and Primary Coordinator. She has been an art teacher for an elementary school and is an instructor for Montessori teacher education. She has also taught Sunday school to fifth and sixth graders. Mrs. Khalil has three children and one grandchild.

Mrs. MacDougall joined the Montessori Visions family as a co-teacher in lower elementary. Along with being a certified Montessori Primary and Elementary teacher, Rachel brings to us a wealth of educational experiences.  She received her Montessori Training through a prestigious program in England, is a licensed elementary teacher, has over a decade of experience working with children and has a Masters Degree in Education. Rachel grew up in Pennsylvania and eventually relocated to Wisconsin where she lived for five years. Rachel is very excited to now be living in a warmer climate with her husband and three children. Her cat, who is accustomed to living on a farm, is not sure this is a better place and requires being walked on a leash at regular intervals to keep him happy.

Mrs. Roberts knew she would enjoy teaching when she was chosen as a star tutor in fifth grade. As a star tutor, Mrs. Roberts helped a kindergarten student in reading and math.  She fell in love with helping students, and from that point on, Mrs. Roberts knew teaching would be a wonderful career choice. Before joining Montessori Visions Academy, Mrs. Roberts taught in grades K-5th for the Clark County School District and tutored students at Sylvan Learning Center. She continued working at Sylvan as an Associate Director of Education until she was given the opportunity at MVA to do what she really loves – teaching children. Mrs. Roberts is a licensed teacher with a bachelors degree as well as being a certified Montessori elementary teacher.  When not teaching at MVA, Mrs. Roberts enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, two kittens, Garfield and Callie, and hedgehog, Prickles. Mrs. Roberts’ hobbies include hiking at Mt. Charleston, reading mystery novels, cooking, and yoga.
