
Ms. Stephanie Bossy obtained her TEFL certification in Argentina, then taught English and grew fluent in Spanish. She is also excited to coach the MVA Cheerleading squad. Ms. Bossy has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of San Diego. While in college, she studied in Oxford, England and traveled to eight other countries. She has participated in various community service organizations her entire life. Eager to continue her travels abroad, Ms. Bossy plans to visit Spain soon. During her travels, she works diligently on a travel journal that she hopes to publish one day. Ms. Bossy participates in a variety of sports, including rock climbing, biking, and yoga. She is Montessori Elementary trained.
Mrs. Sherina Donovan has been a member of the Montessori Visions Academy community since 2003, but has been working with children since 2000. She has been trained at the primary and elementary levels in the Montessori Method. Not only does she practice her love for children and education, but Mrs. Donovan also works at her other passion which is the study of photography. With her husband, Mrs. Donovan lives a happy life.
Ms. Christine Fine received her Bachelor degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Arizona in Tucson. During her studies she worked as a tutor to prepare incoming freshman for their undergraduate studies, specifically in language and writing. She has been working with children since she was a little girl and over the years has longed for a sign to guide her to a place where her soul can be nurtured and passion fulfilled. MVA and the Montessori philosophy unveiled Ms. Fine's inner desire to teach and continues to be a place where children and their growth, their extraordinary and beautiful minds, make an impression on her vision of life. Ms. Fine also enjoys sharing her experience as MVA's Volleyball Coach. In between breaths, she is planning her wedding, writing, hiking, and enjoying the secrets of the desert.
Mrs. Linda Khalil has been an irreplaceable Montessori teacher since Montessori Visions Academy began operating. She is primary and elementary certified in Montessori teaching, and currently works with children at the Early Elementary level. Mrs. Khalil is also the assistant director at Montessori Visions Academy and an instructor in Montessori Philosophy and Cultural Curriculum for teacher trainees. Mrs. Khalil has three children and two grandchildren, and enjoys reading, camping, and cooking.
Ms. Lisa Knutsen has completed Montessori training at both the primary and elementary levels. She has been an asset to Montessori Visions Academy’s staff in several capacities, such as office manager and teacher. Besides all of her work for the MVA community, Ms. Knutsen participates in several other service activities as well. She has been a Sunday school teacher for the past several years and does volunteer work as a member of the California Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team. Ms. Knutsen studied sign language for three years and shares her talents in an enrichment program for students. She travels with Mission trips for her church, and has done extensive traveling throughout the United States, to places such as Mississippi and California, as well as worldwide, to Canada, Mexico, and Thailand.
Mr. Howard Stoddard has a love for math which led him to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics and go on to teaching at the middle school level. However, when he experienced the benefits offered at MVA through his daughter and volunteering at the school, he decided to join the staff as an elementary teacher. Mr. Stoddard is also a trained Montessori teacher. Along with teaching Montessori students, he is involved in youth sports and is currently coaching his daughter’s soccer team.
