Ms. Lori Bossy opened Montessori Visions Academy in 1999 and has been the Director ever since. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education, a Nevada State Teaching license for K-8, and Montessori Primary, Lower, and Upper Elementary Certification. Ms. Bossy has taught in elementary education for over fifteen years, served as an adjunct staff at University of Nevada Las Vegas as a teacher for students studying Education, and periodically teaches about Montessori education at private colleges in Las Vegas. An active member of the community, Ms. Bossy participates in numerous volunteer organizations which assist impoverished and homeless people in Las Vegas. Her volunteer work also extends to coaching a plethora of youth sports, including basketball, soccer, and track, which she has done for over twenty years. She became a great advocate of youth sports when her own four daughters were stumbling around the field and has continued to coach since. In her spare time, Ms. Bossy enjoys solving murder mysteries with the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigators.
Mrs. Elizabeth Evans maintains order outside of the classroom, as the office manager and website coordinator. After a brief sabbatical, Montessori Visions Academy is grateful to have her back in the office, helping the school to run smoothly. When she was away from Montessori Visions, Mrs. Evans learned the mastery of nutritional cooking as a chef for the Nevada Cancer Institute. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Denver and it was in Colorado that she became acquainted with two of the great loves of her life: her husband and snowboarding. When she’s not on campus, Mrs. Evans spends her time with her husband and their daughter, an American Staffordshire terrier named Riley.
Mrs. Anne Gregory is a talented addition to Montessori Visions Academy. She currently works as an Office and I.T. Manager. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA with an emphasis in Information Systems from Webster University. Before coming to MVA, Mrs. Gregory worked for many years in non-profit humane and animal welfare organizations as well in the veterinary medical field. She fell in love with Montessori when her eldest son began as a Primary student. Since that time, she has used her computer hardware and software expertise to help two other Montessori schools in New Mexico and North Carolina before joining MVA. Following her husband’s discharge from the United States Marine Corps, her family has relocated to their native Southwest, and is happy to return to the land of plentiful rock climbing, mountain biking, and kayaking.
